Learn to Paint 10-Week Class
Instructor: Ross Myers
Tulsa artist Ross Myers will teach a 10 week painting class on Mondays. Students may paint in their choice of medium and provide their own art supplies.
Choose between morning or afternoon sessions. New students will need to come 30 minutes early for the first 3 sessions for a drawing lesson. Bring drawing paper, graphite pencils and eraser. After that you choose a medium and subject and start a painting. Study oils, acrylics, watercolor, pastel, and drawing from Tulsa’s most experienced art teacher. His well-rounded talents are ideal for any level of artist.
Class Time: Mondays at 10 – noon or 1 – 3 pm
Class Dates: Feb. 25 – April 29, 2019
Cost: $242 for 10 sessions. Payment can be made at the Design Center at first class.

Ross Myers is a native of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He graduated with a Bachelor’s of Fine Arts degree from the University of Tulsa in 1977. While maintaining a full time teaching schedule, Myers also paints every day and has become a well-known and highly collectible artist.
Myers is best known for his expansive landscapes of the southwestern United States and southern Colorado, areas of the country that he feels an emotional connection with and visits often. His paintings are reflections of his personal experiences. He uses his own photographs as a frame of reference to add to the details and develop the superb lighting for which is is known. He usually has three or four paintings in progress at one time.
