Waxing Poetic: Painting with Cold Wax and Oil

Saturday 10am – 4pm
Explore the liberating medium of cold wax and oil pigment to paint layers of color, texture and shape.
We will utilize patterns and mark making, layering and reduction to create abstract or representational art. Come with a playful spirit! This expressive class is perfect for beginners and experienced painters alike.
Students who have taken this class before will be offered the opportunity to explore additional artful facets.
Adults (including high school students)
Class size 8 – 12
All levels welcome, beginner to advanced.
$100 for BAA members
$110 for non-members
Supplies: Bring a pad of 9×12 or 12×16 Arches Oil Paper, roll of painters tape, one tube of Titanium White oil paint, and wear old clothes or an apron. All other supplies and materials will be included in class fee. Light refreshments served, bring your own lunch.
About the Instructor: Lori Roll likes to have fun with cold wax/oil as an expressive art form. She teaches at BAA and Waterworks Art Center in Tulsa and sells her work in Bartlesville, Tulsa and on Instagram.
