Watercolor Painting for Beginners

Tuesday Afternoons 1:30pm – 3:30pm or Evenings 6:00pm – 8:00pm
April 12 through May 24, 2022 (6 classes)
The six class dates are April 12, 19, 26, and May 10, 17, and 24
There is no class on May 3.
Beginning students will learn by doing the same project as the teacher, watching her demonstrate each step and then doing the same step on their painting. We’ll also cover which tools to use, color, composition, values, painting techniques, and more.

Amy has worked as a commercial artist, calligrapher, and elementary art teacher. Since retiring from teaching in 2015, She has focused on watercolor painting. She hones her skills by painting every day and taking workshops from nationally known watercolor artists. You can see examples of her work by visiting amyjenkinsart.com.
- 1 full sheet of Arches cold press 140 lb watercolor paper cut into fourths
- watercolor paints and mixing palette
- watercolor brushes – 1” flat, nos. 4, 8, and 12 round.
- Roll of paper towels
- water container.
Students will receive more info about supplies after sign up.
BAA LOCATION is at the Price Tower BAA Art Center at 500 S. Dewey Ave. The entrance is in the back of the one-story building next to Price Tower, facing the big parking lot.
REFUND POLICY: 100% if a request to withdraw from class or workshop is received 30 days before the start date, and 50% if received 14 days before the start date. Requests for refunds after that date will not be accepted.
