Handbuilding with Clay Class - Mishima Bowl
Taught by Sheetal Kulkarni
During this 2-day class you will make an easy fold square/rectangular plate/bowl then design using wax and Japanese Mishima technique to carve intricate designs in greenware. Once glazed it will be food-safe and perfect for holiday entertaining. Feel free to bring your own zentangle designs.
Adults (including high school age)
All levels beginner to advanced.
Max 8 students
All supplies, tools, clay and glaze included.

“Hand building” is working with clay using only simple tools, not the pottery wheel. Before potters had the wheel, they were creating beautiful pots and clay forms using clay, their hands and fingers, and basic hand tools.
