Make a Serving Tray Handbuilt with Clay with Sheetal Kulkarni
Make a rectangular serving tray in this class. First emboss your design on a slab with wooden blocks, rollers or doilies to imprint designs, and then mold the tray. During the second class you will glaze your bisque-fired tray – there will be color choices for the glaze.

“Hand building” is working with clay using only simple tools, not the pottery wheel. Before potters had the wheel, they were creating beautiful pots and clay forms using clay, their hands and fingers, and basic hand tools.
