Mondays from 10am – Noon

$260 for 8 weekly sessions

Adults (including high school age). All levels are welcome.
Maximum of 12 students ensures everyone will get lots of personal attention.

Cris’ classes at the Bartlesville Art Association were so popular last year, she’s agreed to return this Spring with Monday morning classes on the fundamentals of drawing.

This 8 week class provides a solid foundation in drawing to students of all skill levels including beginners. With pencil and charcoal, students learn to use line, value, gesture, and perspective, you’ll develop the ability to create accurate and energetic drawings.  In this class we’ll work from a variety of subjects including still life, landscape, and occasionally figure.

Students will need to bring their own supplies for each class: graphite and charcoal and the appropriate paper pads, sketch books, and a ruler for the drawing class.

Even if you took Cris’ class before, there is always something new to learn AND your skill level WILL GROW with practice. Plus, better drawing skills will improve your painting skills as well. Don’t miss this opportunity to study with one of the best!

Originally from St. Louis, Cris has studied drawing and painting from the age of 12. Her early art education came from private art instructors and workshops at Washington University and the St. Louis Art Museum.  She later studied Fine Arts and Art Education at the University of Kansas.

Her appreciation for the uniqueness of people, as well as nature, is conveyed in each portrait or landscape painting. Cris has a constant fascination with solving the problems of light, composition, and color in each painting and drawing endeavor.
