Ceramics - Slab Mug

Time: 6 – 8 p.m.

Thursdays: October 6,  October 13 and November 3 with the “Reveal” on November 10.

Please register by September 22, 2022.

This class is a basic introduction to ceramics and pottery.  Class will use the slab method for construction of a mug.  Students will also learn how to prepare the clay, review clay types, methods of construction, stages of pottery making, and the glazing and firing process.  

Maximum number of students is 12. Class is for adults including high school age and all skill levels are welcome

Cost is $60 plus supplies

Basic pottery tools to include shapers, scrapers, wire cutter, sponges; approximate cost $20.

Maurice studied ceramics at OSU and has taught classes at the Ponca City Art Association.

BAA LOCATION is at the Price Tower BAA Art Center at 500 S. Dewey Ave. The entrance is in the back of the one-story building next to Price Tower, facing the big parking lot.

REFUND POLICY: 100% if a request to withdraw from class or workshop is received 30 days before the start date, and 50% if received 14 days before the start date. Requests for refunds after that date will not be accepted.
