Addie Roanhorse

You are invited to our first ArtNight of 2019 with guest speaker Addie Roanhorse, Graphic Designer for the Osage Nation in Pawhuska.  Addie will talk about her personal art as well as her design work for the Osage Nation.  She will also discuss the book and upcoming movie “Killers of the Flower Moon” by David Grann.  It is about the Osage murders in the 1920s and birth of the FBI.  She is a direct descendant of Henry Roan, who was written about in the book. 

She will also speak about her work for Crystal Bridges, designing elements of their new contemporary art museum slated to open in 2020.  

The daughter of Osage artist Gina Gray, she is a resident of the Osage Nation, where her daughter Anya has begun to follow in her artistic footsteps.

The event is Tuesday January 22 at 6:30 p.m. at the BAA Design Center.  Refreshments will be served and there will be a raffle with donated prizes. 

Free and the public is welcome to attend.
